Jessie Jiang

Age 33. From Ningxia. University degree in logistics. Moved to Beijing for 12 years. Down to Guanxi for a year. Then here to Chengdu six months ago. Her emails to me about Chengdu are part of the reason I came here.

Her English is great because she watched Friends a lot, talked with a lot of strangers at a music club in Beijing, and had an English boyfriend.

We talked about the "leftover woman" thing (women over 30 are romantically unwanted) that even though she doesn't believe it, felt very pressured by family's and society's belief of it. But now that she's past it, completely liberated by it.
