Karry

Met 2025-12-03 09:00 at InterContinental Shanghai Ruijin, Shanghai.

Age 26. When he arrived not looking like his social media profile photo, he explained that in China almost nobody has their real photo on their public profile because the open internet has people with bad intentions so better to only post your real face to a place where only friends can see it. This might explain why most Chinese people I know with personal websites use pseudonymns.

Karry said Chinese schools discourage participation, leadership, etc. Just sit quietly and ace the test. He did this too but after university taught at private international schools which showed him kids full of charisma, ideas, and participation, which encouraged him to do the same in his personal and professional life too.

He was a livestreamer selling skin products for a few months. Then science teacher to different private schools for a couple years. Then a 1-on-1 tutor to three different children for a few months each.

One had the worst child-spoiling story I've ever heard, where the child not only eats whatever he wants (even if they've cooked him one meal and he wants another, the chef will go make him a new one to meet his demands), but also, if he's in the living room watching TV and has to pee, but doesn't want to walk the 5 seconds to the toilet, the parents tell him it's OK to pee on the floor in the living room, then they make the maid clean it up. WTF?!?!? And we wonder why some people are complete jerks.

Karry aims to get a graduate degree in Europe and live there indefinitely to expand his horizons.

No interest in romantic relationships or even friendships, as he loves keeping his focus on self-improvement. He's a very happy person, happy with whatever job and home he's in now. (He's moved 7 times in the last 3 years, for work.)
