We are the same age and disposition.

He’s into running, hiking and traveling.

He ran a marathon in Shanghai and found it amazing. Same as me (and many others) he only knew China’s previous reputation as a dirty, pushy place, so was super-surprised at how nice everything is now.

He applied to New Zealand and many other universities, but liked Madison Wisconsin the best, so went there for university, then 10 years later to Singapore for a year at NUS for graduate degree. Lived in Pasir Ris neighborhood.

Worked in Price Waterhouse Coopers for years and retired early so now he does occasional freelance work for them, if he wants to.

He took me to real Indonesian food.
