Veny Lai

Veny and I first met at TEDxUbud then TEDxJakarta in 2011. She worked for HSBC after that. Now helping the family business modernize.

She and husband Eric only met recently and got married at age 47. Many mutual friends.

She’s a fountain of conversation, so we talked about all kinds of things from pet rats to the sweet vanilla smell of the civet, which was climbing on their roof here. They have three dogs, all rescues that have come to them.
