Anand Reddy

Amazing background. Grew up in Telangana in a village with less than 50 people and no cellphone coverage. Family had lived there for many generations.
When he and two siblings were school age, they moved into the nearest town so the kids could go to school. Dad started a bicycle repair shop. But alcohol got the best of him and he disappeared for many years, leaving the family homeless.
They built a shack by the road and lived there with no electricity or anything for four years, age 12-16 for Anand.
Because he was a good student, the schools let him attend for free. Teachers were especially kind. Mother eventually left to take a job in Kuwait with a family a few years.
Years later his dad came back and parents reunited and moved back to the original village with his brother and sister nearby too.
Anand got into programming, Python expert.
Moved to Bangalore 13 years ago, Indiranagar then HSR Layout to be in the middle of the freelance scene.
Seeing someone use Emacs expertly, he switched to Emacs. Now mostly guiding AI instead of hand-coding.
